I drink tea everyday. It's usually a pretty standard tea bag in my favourite green mug, hot water and a drop of milk. Everyone knows it's my favourite mug, and no matter who brews up it always tastes great. It's nothing particularly special, but I love it. I imagine it's the same for many others, each with their own individual take.
On the surface, a cup of tea may be interpreted as a 'tea bag in a mug', but it's not. When we reflect on it, we begin to understand its greater values: taste, warmth, conversations, company. To me, good design naturally extracts these values through daily use. The focus is not defined by the physical item, but more so the opportunities and experiences that they offer. I also make a great cup of tea.
